Hello! I’m Elsa, an arts, culture and music journalist based on the sunny south coast of Brighton. I have bylines in print and digital publications such as Polyester, Off Licence Magazine, BUILDHOLLYWOOD, UD Music and more, and I’m currently writing about the founding female architects of Chicago drill in the 2010s. Grah!
I’ve interviewed some stellar artists and written features on a number of cross-industry pioneers over the years, documenting icons including the legendary fashion whistleblower Katharine Hamnett, all the way through to punk and grime phenomena Bob Vylan. My interests lie in unearthing talent found both emerging in underground communities as well as those firmly established in their field, working hard to tell their stories in a way that resonates, regardless of status or stature.
As well as my journalistic endeavours, I also put pen to paper for like-minded organisations, currently writing with the groundbreaking not-for-profit music organisation, AudioActive.
My inbox is always open, so drop me a line if you want to hear more about my work or are interested in collaborating.
